Even though births don’t increase with the moon’s cycle (as I showed you in last Sunday’s post), they certainly do increase at different times of the year.
An amazing chart (via Huffington Post, but first published by a researcher at Harvard) is below, depicting the most common birthdays of the year. In honor of my birthday – this Saturday, September 15th – happy birthday to all the September babies! As you can see, there are a lot of us.
The most likely explanation for the rush of September births is weather. Cold weather creates what is referred to as “procreative behavior” … aka more couples get busy when it’s cold outside. This is know as “The Christmas Effect”. Nine months later – September – evidence.
